I am not sure why she's been on my mind as much these last few months, but she has.
I still miss her chubby cheeks and talkative growling. I miss her lying at the foot of the bed, or riding shotgun on my errands. I miss her tiny feet and crinkled ears.
I miss MY mutt dog.
When I discovered the art of felting as a way to make dog look-a-likes, India instantly came to mind.
The few others I've made have been in preparation for India.
I wanted her to be perfect.
I wanted to know just what shape and color and position I could (and would) create.
Sweet fiance got me her color combinations for my birthday in October, and I've been anxiously anticipating when I would have time to just sit and work on her, without being in a time crunch since then.
I must say I am pleased with how she turned out.

Your felting looks awesome! I think I know the site you were previously talking about. I'm not sure if you would be interested, but how do you feel about creating these for others? I've been trying to find someone to make a custom stuffed dog for my boyfriend who is deployed in Afghanistan right now.
