I wear my heart on my sleeve

and now also my finger..
My heart-themed (obsession?) jewelry continues...

Just a round, red blob divided into the 2 atria (on top) and 2 (larger) ventricles... not such a complex organ, now is it?

a little fat in the coronary grooves is only natural.

and the pulmonary (arterial) trunk..

and my coronary vessels.. (arteries)

(and veins)

and the aorta with arteries branching off.. (intra-thoracic? carotid.. and maybe cranial mesenteric?)
I forgot to include pictures of the auricles added to each atria.. they're called "auricles" because they are at the top of the heart, and are little triangles folded down ( extra space in case the atria are overflowing) and they look like ears on the heart..
me sporting it on my crooked finger on a gorgeous sunny day
I made two of these and gave the other to one of my best friends who is graduating from vet school this year.
it's a unique look, to say the least.. perhaps it should be saved for special occassionas, but I do adore it already.

  1. Hey, I know all about hearts now! Thanks for sharing this. I think that's a red Jeep in the background? And it belongs to a handsome, nice guy??
