How to make a Boston...

School's been insane lately, and the last few days of studying have left me dying to play with clay... we've been studying about all kinds of things- brachycephalic syndrome! (respiratory issues) for the breeds that "...look like they've run into a wall repeatedly"
made me want to make a brachycephalic dog-they're rather fun!
first-you make a body! Sorry I forgot to document it's process
beginning of the face- basic head structure, eyes.. some greying, as the one I'm modeling it after is about ten
and to make that precious little "smooshed" face
add some GIANT ears
and a triangle nose

using my *favorite* tool to make indentions in the nose
it's likely my favorite feature to make, as it's quite simple to make life-like and precious
as cute as this is.. it wasn't quite what I was going for.. something CRUCIAL was missing

open that cute little mouth

and the final result I was looking for...

  1. That's amazing that you can create so much detail on such a small piece! I hope that your week slows down just a bit.
