Foxy ladies.

I stalked pinterest in class a while back and was for some reason or another drawn to this girls blog that has fox-EVERYTHING. hat/scarf earrings decorations: pillows, pictures, etc.
I don't know what it is, but it made me want to do some foxes of my own.
foxy colors

foxy face

foxy bodies

the finished product
(although I may yet add a glaze)
It was a fun and different project for me :-) looking forward to having time to do more random creations in the next few months...

A lil' bit of everything

I've been in a mood to create, but at a loss for what to make (despite having a ridiculous number of projects on my "To-Do" list) so I have been finishing random things, or making whimsical pieces...
..like a goat
goats are pretty cute.
and this one even has his little "goat-ee"
(yes, I am that corny)

his legs look a little 'knobbly' but that's how I always imagine goats, so that was intentional

and then I decided I wanted to make a cow.
because cows are cute.
This one was modeled after someone else's work
She's taking the afternoon off- milking is hard work!

and then I of course had to make a cow charm?
really don't know what I was thinking
(other than "cows are cute")

The last two pieces are still works in progress
the clay is done on the first one, but it's going to be painted yet
(I'm uncertain if it will be all one color or at least mildly appropriate)
then it will be a pendant.
This is of my Nova. she has fun ears to make out of clay

this one is REALLY a work in progress..
it is one precious cat in the making.

My boyfriend loves his Jeep

...so when I was brainstorming something that I could make for him out of clay, and cute little fuzzy animals was nixed, Rubi (the Jeep!) came straight to mind. Problem? I don't often do inanimate objects. I think one of my strong points with clay is being able to add an adorable factor with the eyes... inanimate objects don't (usually) have eyes.. but it was worth a shot!
It is rather difficult to find a simplistic picture of a jeep online (or, at least my search for "cartoon jeep" yielded little to no help) so I used one of our favorite pictures and improvised

If you look closely, you can (maybe?) see the mud on the tires
(I'd be lying if I said that wasn't my favorite part!)

I was planning on adding some rocks on the inside of the glass (it's on his desk at his office being used to hold pens!) to give it a more solid background, but didn't get to it before he surprised me with a visit. If he adds some I'll add another picture on here in the future ;-)
